Hey guys! My husband and I have been on a journey of eating healthier and cleaner. We are doing a modified Whole 30 or Paleo type diet and have been really happy with how it has gone so far. You can check it out here: My Modified Whole30 Diet. If you are looking to introduce some healthier foods into your diet, read on for some clean eating snack ideas.

Make sure you check the ingredients on the items you buy to ensure there are no hidden added sugars or additional things you don’t want in your food. Your ingredient list should be relatively short if you are eating clean.

10 Healthy Snack Ideas

  1. Handful of almonds-Heart healthy and filling!
  2. Pumpkin seeds- These are perfect for fall and also very good for you!
  3. Blue corn chips and salsa-I love this as a snack and eat it almost every day. This is a sneaky way to get some veggies via yummy salsa.
  4. Celery/carrots and hummus- Flavorful and filled with protein. The hummus helps make bland veggies taste better.
  5. Apple and peanut butter or almond butter- I love apples so I will also eat them by themselves. They are full of fiber and nutrients. However, adding some nut butter makes this snack much more filling.
  6. Unsweetened applesauce-You can add cinnamon and heat this up in the microwave for a warm, cozy fall treat. Cinnamon is a super healthy spice so I like to add it to my food when I can.
  7. Fruit Smoothie- My diet is dairy free so I use unsweetened applesauce to make my smoothies creamy instead of using milk. The applesauce also sweetens the smoothie so no added sweeteners are necessary. Add in a banana, a few handfuls of berries, and blend!
  8. Larabars- Y’all, these bars are lifesavers! If you are feeling lazy, grab a Larabar for a snack. They are sweetened with dates and are made of fruits and nuts. There are certain varieties that are Whole 30 compliant (which are the ones I stick to). My husband and I are in love with the Pecan Pie variety! We also dig the Apple Pie, Lemon Bar, and Cherry Pie.
  9. Fruit Leather- We buy these from Target and eat them for dessert. Yum!
  10. Almond milk hot chocolate- My husband and I like to make this every once in a while before bed. It’s a cozy, yummy, guilt free drink.
